A Canadian variety introduced in 1999. The Silken Apple is medium-sized with a unique translucent cream-colored skin, occasionally exhibiting a faint pink blush. Its firm, crisp, and juicy white flesh offers a sweet flavor with moderate acidity. Among the first fall apples! Best enjoyed fresh, but will keep for a month or so in cold storage. The tree is exceptionally vigorous in our nursery. Productive, and precocious!
